About

Welcome to Juicedfrenzy.com, a website for electric people, by electric people.

Why JuicedFrenzy Was Started

I am Lavon, the owner and founder of Juiced Frenzy.  I used to work full-time at Toyota but in 2021, I decided to leave my 9 to 5 to run this blog full-time!  My team and I write about what it is really like to own an electric vehicle (EV) and lots of other electric items.  My goal is to educate EV owners and share the latest trends and development as the world transition to sustainable energy.

I began driving a Tesla Model 3 back in 2019.  I did not want to purchase a gas-powered car and be trapped with it five years down the road when EVs will be much more normal and accessible.  All my charging is done at home and I installed a 240-volt outlet in my garage.  So, yes, I stretched my budget to get the Model 3 and it was easy to justify why it will also cost less in the long run than if I had bought another gas-powered vehicle.  My wife also purchased the Nissan Leaf in 2021 and she loves her EV.

When I first decided to buy a Tesla, I opened my laptop and started looking for blogs, websites, or online communities of EVs.  I could not find a place!  There was nothing other than a Facebook groups that had a cluster of newbies like me asking all the same questions.

After a few months of desperately searching for information, I chose to take matters into my own hands and Juiced Frenzy was born.  I saw that there were tons of EV owners with similar questions I had, and I figured that if I could deliver an authoritative resource with valuable information, I would be able to help out a few of my fellow owners. But I had no idea just how many people needed help!

Great Feedback and Well Received

I often joke that the main reason why my website has grown so rapidly is because the EV manufactures are poor at communication, guidance and supporting EV owners. It’s also very early in the game! And even though my 3 years of owning my Tesla has been a lot of fun, I still feel like I am all alone out here. Most of these manufactures are so focused on growth, they literally throw EV owners, plus many people complain of the look and appearance of these vehicles.

I sought to form a place where EV owners could get all their questions answered from someone who knew what they were talking about.  I have been privileged to hire several contributors around the country to provide additional perspectives.  Therefore, in addition to hearing from me, you will also hear from other contributors to provide guidance and support on electric cars, plug-in hybrids, charging stations, batteries and beyond.
